This is the preview for G-Side’s “How Far” video. This video was shot while touring through NYC, Amsterdam, Norway, Denmark, and Sweden. I think it’s a pretty dope concept brought to you by the great people at Lawrence and Clark.

Posted in Uncategorized with tags Alabama Rap, Billy Reid, Florence, G-Side, Huntsville Hip Hop, Oxford American, Shoals Theatre, SLash, Slow Motion Soundz on June 13, 2011 by slowmotionsoundz767This clip was from the G-Side performance at the Billy Reid and Oxford American Shindig on 6/4/11. This concert was for the Alabama Music Hall of Fame, helping to raise money for the museum. G-Side was the only hip hop group invited out, due to their homegrown approach to the music industry. Unlike many others, G-Side and the Slow Motion Soundz umbrella chooses to stay, and develop their sound amongst the surroundings they speak about, keeping the sound and subject matter as close to real-time as possible. Shout out to Jason Flynn for chopping this up and shooting this over. Enjoy.

Block Beattaz in NYC (Exclusive Pics)
Posted in Uncategorized with tags Ballers Eve, Block Beattaz, CP, Huntsville, Mali Boi, New York City, Slow Motion Soundz on May 27, 2011 by slowmotionsoundz767We finally were able to get Mali Boi out of Studio A at the Speed of Sound facility. This the first official photo shoot for the Block Beattaz taken in NYC. I now have a few pics to send out to people wanting to do interviews with the Block Beattaz. To me this is the best production team hands down. They are from the south, but they don’t stick to the traditional sound of south to prove their southern lineage. Instead, I think they take the more rebel with a cause approach, and try to lead the south into uncharted waters. It’s easy to stick with a familiar sound and carbon copy the past for approval amongst peers, and those that came before us, but to actually build upon the foundation set, and make it your own is a more remarkable accomplishment in my opinion. The photos are just a few by the homie Matt McGinley. You can check him out at www.mattmcginley.com or www.mattmcginley.blogspot.com.

The Statue of Employment. Kristmas readies for his debut solo project set to drop 4-15-11. My early faves are Cool Mutha******, Believe That, Dont Get Left, and of course I Need A Drink with special guest verse from _________. I think the one that will push the album over the top is what Block Beattaz were working on last night in Studio A. It’s like on some negro spiritual sh@! son. By the way, W2 Boys don’t forget to turn your taxes in this week. On 4-16 IRS start stalking.
